Our friends over at National Geographic Music have a really cool article displaying the photography of Melissa Auf der Maur – best known for her stints as bassist in Hole and Smashing Pumpkins. Documenting shows and life on the road, there are some great shots and very cool explanations of the process (camera used, processing technique, etc…). Below are a couple of our favorites.
The Gloria Jones Challenge is our ongoing examination of the many, many, many covers of Jones’ classic Northern Soul jam “Tainted Love” – to see how they stack up compared to the original.
