While homebodies by nature, we do regularly muster the single malt courage to go out into the world and experience music in the flesh, and we document these excursions in Where the Bus Pass Took Us.
Last night we caught Brooklyn’s The Woes, along with local stalwart Sam Lowry, as they came through town to The Bishop. Our camera was not as charged as we thought it was and so after shooting a couple of songs from the Lowry set we were only able to get one from The Woes, but we still wanted to share. Check them out below.
We caught three new songs from Sam Lowry for your enjoyment. Backing up Lowry this time around was Sarah Balliet of Murder by Death, Pete Schreiner of Thousand Arrows, The Coke Dares and Magnolia Electric Company among others, and Ben Bussell of the Sump Pumps and Mt. Gigantic among others. (All of that included solely to help our blog show up in more Google searches – shamelessly yours, Postcard Editor)
And the one track we could capture from The Woes before the camera died.
But as a bonus – here’s some videos of them from other sources.
The Woes are an ever changing collective of kick ass musicians, led by Osei Essed. Their tour continues and if you are lucky enough to live in one of the following cities you’d be a damn fool to miss them.
