Rearview Mirror is our annual look back at the year in music from our friends in and around the business. Musicians, managers, roadies, superfans, bloggers etc..
This year we’re upping the vanity aspect of it by sprinkling in our favorite posts of the past year, which you may have missed the first time around. It was tough to pick just one post for April, as we had a particularly good month of posting, but when you interview a legend – that clearly has to be the winner. Fred Foster is Music City royalty who helped shape both Roy Orbison and Dolly Parton’s early careers. He went on to work with Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and many more of the most influential artists of the past fifty years. Luckily for us, ChaCha is Fred’s granddaughter, and she sat down with him via Skype to talk to him about the Roy Orbison collection The Monument Singles Collection that had just been released.
