We’re quickly becoming Lo Talker fans here at PE. Their single and video for “No Champagne” was one of our favorites of 2020 and the new single “Don’t Hide That Light Pt. II” is a more than worthy follow up. Indie rock with sonic exploration and touches similar to the Elephant 6 collective or an upbeat Sparkelhorse, Lo Talker knows how to use those elements tastefully and in service of the song. It’s driving and light, melodic and noisy, lush and layered and best when left on repeat.
