A Music Blog For People Who Like Music, Blogs & Music Blogs
“Shiny and New” by Christina Apostolopoulos is a slow dance for one, a declaration of self-improvement with a subtle dark humor to it and a melancholic streak a mile wide. Will all these changes win her the love she’s hoping for? Is that sort of love real love? It’s all about the subtext casting the long shadows on this one, and anyone who’s followed the blog for a while knows, that is our jam, and we’re betting this will be yours as well.
“Losing Light” by Holyhead is a deliciously fuzzed out thicc boi of Dinosaur Jr. influenced rock n’ roll and it, as they say, gives us life. More specifically it gets us excited for the (hopefully soon) return of live shows, where you can walk into a club and get your hair blown back by something this fun and loud and melodic and rawking.
