Ted Taylor was an overlooked R&B musician born in Oklahoma in 1934. His music has been sampled by Kendrick Lamar, Ludacris and others. As far as I can tell this amazing song, “Cummins Prison Farm,” did not appear on the original 1972 album, Taylor Made, but came out on the 2007 reissue.
