Tuesday Tip-Off: ttypes

Songs, for us at least, have different senses of movement to them and “Rock Bottom in Shanghai” from ttypes is a low gravity, sunshine strut. Catch us bopping along to this track on the first day of summer with a 12′ stride, more float than flaunt but still a touch of that too. ttypes is the solo project of Grand Rapids, MI (say hello to Pyramid Scheme for us) songwriter Tim Krauss, whose bio says he’s a big fan of sci-fi pioneer Ursula K. Le Guin (us too) and so we’ll close this review by simply proclaiming this: This song? This song is the left hand of popness y’all.
