It’s been another long week, with pandemic numbers peaking above previous peaks, our leaders still failing at every level, and no new flavors of Mountain Dew introduced to a thirst curious public. It’s enough to make you want to embrace your dark side, to celebrate the nefarious and to root for the villain. Lucky for us Huc. Finn is here to help with the absolute banger that is “Badguy.” With a Sticky Fingaz rasp and an MF Doom flow, Finn manages to list just about every major Marvel and DC villain in two and a half minutes but does so in a way that doesn’t feel forced. Every character name drop is in support of a metaphor or a boast making for an incredibly dense pop culture lexicon that all leads up to and backs up the song’s final line “I’m the Mastermind.”
