What a delight this track from The Was is, especially as we are in the throws of a mild but yet still not fun case of Covid here at PE. As crappy as we feel, “Problem With Decision” eases our minds and bodies with its effortlessness and classic vibe. The vibe is one of an oft overlooked late 80’s alternative sound that was neither aggressive post punk nor full on 60’s fetishizing jangle pop, but rather just simple straight forward songs done very very well. “Problem With Decision” is a reworking of singer Adam Savetsky’s late 80’s group The McGuires, but a song this good deserves a second chance. If you long for the sounds of groups like The Connells and Buffalo Tom than enjoy this the way we enjoy this, although hopefully Covid free.
