Out Of Office

We’re taking a little break to rest and renew our ears. We’ll be back in June, but in the meantime check out one or many of our dedicated playlists here.

Where the Bus Pass Took Us

While homebodies by nature, we do regularly muster the single malt courage to go out into the world and experience music in the flesh, and we document these excursions in Where the Bus Pass Took Us.

Last Thursday we were able to pop in to the Bishop to catch the Flannelgraph Records release party for The Holidays Don’t Have To Be So Rotten (Volume 2) and were able to capture one song by the FR all-star band on video before we got too eggnogged up.  Check the video and info on how to get the full album below.

Last night we found ourselves at our favorite music and comedy variety show, It Still Bleeds.  We caught two songs by Dylan Sizemore (above) and three songs from Jeremy Brightbill of Panic Strikes a Chord (below the jump).  Both gents were fantastic and you should probably checkity check these clips out.

Last night we made our way, as we often do, to The Bishop for libations and the best in live music.  Last night was special though as it was a live broadcast of the radio show Lazersaurus, with musical guests Community Currency, Ziona Riley and The Delicious.  We were able to capture a couple of vids before our camera died, which you can check out below.

Last night we journeyed out to our favorite music venue in town, The Bishop, to catch Elba favorites Ha Ha Tonka, and as we were taught to share, we captured a few songs on video for your enjoyment.  Speaking of enjoyment, we enjoyed last night’s $3 pints special a little bit, and it shows in our camera work.  Our apologies.  For being so awesome.

Last night we found ourselves catching up with A Hawk and A Hacksaw as they played the Bishop with Dark Dark Dark and Pillars & Tongues.  A very minor emergency arose that caused us to leave before DDD took the stage, but we did manage to get three songs from AHAAHS for your enjoyment.

As we’ve mentioned before, we’re not posting much, and we apologize for that.  Editor got a new job that’s sucking up all of his time and ChaCha underwent major surgery (she’s fine, thanks for asking) and the combination of the two has put PE in the slow lane of late.  But we’ll keep bringing you the good stuff when we can, and this is no exception.  Editor attended the comedy and music variety show known as It Still Bleeds last night at The Comedy Attic and caught video of all the musical performers:  Heinous Orca rocking out as the house band, and Jason Evans Groth and EA Strother each playing two brand new never before heard songs.  All of which is below the jump.
