Where the Bus Pass Took Us

While homebodies by nature, we do regularly muster the single malt courage to go out into the world and experience music in the flesh, and we document these excursions in Where the Bus Pass Took Us.

Last night we found ourselves at our favorite music and comedy variety show, It Still Bleeds.  We caught two songs by Dylan Sizemore (above) and three songs from Jeremy Brightbill of Panic Strikes a Chord (below the jump).  Both gents were fantastic and you should probably checkity check these clips out.

Sound as Vision – Jeremy Brightbill

Happy New Year errr’body!  We’re kicking things off by a return to form and some of our favorite irregularly recurring segments.  Today’s return to form comes in the form of the formidable segment known as Sound as Vision – where artists present us with artwork based on musical inspiration.

Today’s artist is Jeremy Brightbill, who along with being a painter also leads one of our favorite indie rock outfits – Panic Strikes a Chord.  See what he did with the song “18” by the group The New Year.

Gang sign for "wubba wubba."

This morning’s musical year in review comes to us from Jeremy Brightbill, guitarist of the late Tremendous Fucking and mastermind behind the long running Panic Strikes a Chord.  Despite all this rockitude, Jeremy is known for his love of hip-hop and his picks of 2010 reflect this in a big way.  Check it out before you wreck it out.  Or something.
